We are committed to ensuring your satisfaction with your purchases, and we offer a comprehensive Return & Refund Policy to address any concerns you may have. Please read this guide carefully to understand the terms and conditions for returns and refunds.

  1. Refunds for Perishable and Non-Perishable Items: We offer refunds for both perishable and non-perishable items within Four (4) hours of delivery. However, please note that once food items have been paid for, cancellation of orders on the day of delivery is not possible.

  2. Refund Process: If you require a refund, we will process it through either your Naija Taste wallet or your bank account, unless otherwise stated in our refund policy.

  3. Guidelines for Refunds: 

a. Refund for Items below ₦5,000: If we are unable to provide a food item you ordered at the requested time, and your order amount is below ₦5,000 (Five thousand naira), we will refund the amount to your Naija Taste wallet. You can use this refund to buy other items immediately or at a later time.

b. Refund for Items above ₦5,000: If your order amount is above ₦5,000 (Five thousand naira), and we are unable to provide a food item you ordered at the requested time, we can refund the amount to your Naija Taste wallet or directly to your bank account, based on your preference. However, if the food item delivered is inadequate, we will only refund the amount to your Naija Taste wallet.

Eligibility for Refund:

  1. Perishable Food Items: Our refund policy for perishable food items, such as fresh tomatoes, fresh peppers, meat, fish, fruits, and vegetables, allows you to request a refund within Four (4) hours of receiving your delivery if you are unsatisfied with the quality of these items. To be eligible for a refund, you must have made a complaint to Naija Taste on the day of delivery and provided picture or video evidence of the unsatisfactory order. We require visual evidence to ensure prompt processing of your refund or return.

  2. Non-Perishable Food Items: Our refund policy also applies to non-perishable food items, including grains (rice, beans, corn), roots (plantain, potatoes), tubers (yams), and other dry items (spices). If you wish to return any of these items, you must do so within 72 hours of delivery. To be eligible for a refund, you need to have lodged a valid complaint within six (6) hours of receiving the food items. Our team will confirm your complaint and picture evidence may be requested to facilitate a smooth return or refund process.

 

  1. Exempted Food Items for Return/Refunds: Under this policy, Naija Taste will not accept any returns or issue refunds for any food items, whether perishable or non-perishable, unless a valid complaint is filed within 6 hours of receipt of delivery and confirmed by Naija Taste.

  2. Delayed Refunds: Upon confirming your refund, kindly check your Naija Taste wallet or bank account to ensure the refund has been processed. If the refund was sent directly to your bank account, please allow some time for the refund to be officially posted by your bank. If you have not received your refund after checking your accounts, please contact us at support@naijataste.ng, via WhatsApp at +234 905 414 9403, or call +234 905 414 9403 for assistance.

  3. Cost of Transportation for Returns: If food items are defective or the customer has a valid complaint registered with Naija Taste, the cost of transportation for the return of the items will be covered by Naija Taste. However, if the customer rescinds or changes an initial order, they will be responsible for bearing the cost of transportation.

Return and Refund Policy for International Buyers - Naija Taste

Thank you for shopping with Naija Taste. We value your satisfaction and strive to ensure that you have a pleasant shopping experience with us. This Return and Refund Policy is applicable to international buyers who have purchased products from Naija Taste's online store and covers the terms and conditions for returns and refunds.

Eligibility for Returns and Refunds:

  1. This policy applies to international buyers who have purchased through our website and have had the products delivered to an address outside of Nigeria.

  2. International buyers who wish to initiate a return and request a refund must do so within 30 days from the date of delivery of the product.

  3. To be eligible for a return and refund, the item(s) must be in its original condition, unused, and in its original packaging.

Initiating a Return:

  1. If you wish to return a product, please contact our customer support team at support@naijataste.ng within the 30-day return period. Provide the order details, the reason for the return, and any relevant supporting information.

  2. Our customer support team will review your request and provide you with instructions on how to proceed with the return, including the return address and shipping instructions.

Return Shipping Costs:

  1. International buyers are responsible for covering the return shipping costs unless the return is a result of Naija Taste's error or a defective product.

  2. In cases where the return is due to Naija Taste's error or a defective product, we will provide you with a prepaid return label or reimburse your return shipping costs upon verification.

Return Inspection and Refund Process:

  1. Once we receive the returned item(s), our team will inspect them to ensure they meet the eligibility criteria outlined in this policy.

  2. If the returned item(s) are approved, we will process the refund to the original payment method used for the purchase.

  3. Please note that the refund amount will be limited to the cost of the returned product(s) and will not include any original shipping charges, duties, taxes, or other fees paid by the customer during the purchase.

Refund Processing Time:

  1. The processing time for refunds may vary depending on the payment method and financial institution involved. Generally, it may take 5 to 10 business days for the refund to be reflected in your account.

  2. If you have not received your refund after the expected processing time, please contact our customer support team for further assistance.

 

Non-Eligible Items for Return and Refund:

  1. Certain items are not eligible for return and refund, including perishable goods, intimate or sanitary products, downloadable software, and gift cards.

  2. Additionally, any item not in its original condition, damaged, or missing parts for reasons not due to Naija Taste's error will not be eligible for a refund.

Lost or Damaged Shipments:

  1. In the event that your shipment is lost or damaged during transit, please notify us immediately at support@naijataste.ng

  2. We will work with the shipping carrier to resolve the issue and ensure you receive a replacement or refund for the lost or damaged items.

Cancellation of International Orders:

  1. a) international buyers may request to cancel their order within [number] hours of placing it. After this period, cancellation may not be possible, especially if the order has already been processed or shipped.

  2. b) To cancel an order, please contact our customer support team at support@naijataste.ng as soon as possible, providing your order number and reason for cancellation.

Changes to the Return and Refund Policy:
